“Data Ingress” is the process of moving your organization’s voter contact data to the Exchange. Setting up a secure and efficient data ingress pipeline is the critical first step to earning credits and participating in the data-sharing ecosystem.
How do I contribute data to the Exchange?
We offer a few different methods to fit your organization’s technical setup.
Recommended Method: The DDx API
The DDx API is DDx’s recommended and most common method for sending data to the Exchange. It connects to your organization’s cloud storage (AWS S3 or GCS) and moves your data securely into the Exchange.
Other Ingress Options
- Direct Platform Integrations: We can work with you to set up direct integrations with common progressive platforms like America Votes VAN (SmartVAN/LAN) and Civis Platform.
- SFTP (Secure File Transfer Protocol): We can provide you with credentials to a dedicated SFTP server for ad-hoc data transfers.
How do I set up my data ingress?
To get started, the primary contact or data lead at your organization should email the DDx team at support@demexchange.com. Our team will then work with your technical lead to configure the secure data pipeline that best fits your organization’s needs.
