The In-Cycle Snapshot is your real-time window into the entire progressive ecosystem’s voter contact activity for the current election cycle — every attempt, response, and registration contributed to the Exchange, aggregated and blinded. It lives in Dashboards & Reports in the Classic DDx Customer App (V1).
What You Can See
- Headline metrics: total Attempts, Survey Responses, and VR Submissions for your current filter selection — the cycle’s activity at a glance.
- Attempts by State and County: a national map showing where contact activity is concentrated.
- Attempts by Method: the channel mix — how the ecosystem’s outreach divides across Walk, Phone, Text, Mail, and the other contact types.
- Method detail: counts of key outcomes by mode (for example, Canvassed totals for door and relational programs).
- County Breakdown: a county-level table at the bottom of the dashboard with attempts and contact rates by mode — see “Navigating the County Breakdown.”
The Snapshot covers voter contact data in the Exchange with an attempt or canvassed date in the current cycle. Use the filter bar at the top — described in “How to Use Filters in Dashboards & Reports” — to narrow everything by state, county or congressional district, data source, contact type, uploaded list, and time period.
Reading the ecosystem
The Snapshot’s job is situational awareness, and members use it to answer real planning questions before spending a single credit:
- Where is the movement working — and not? The map and County Breakdown show where contact is dense and where it’s thin. Sparse counties in a competitive geography are exactly where untouched-voter queries pay off (see “Using Saturation Data”).
- How are voters being reached? The method charts show the channel mix in your geography. A district saturated with texts but light on doors tells a field program something useful about where there’s room.
- Is it us, or everyone? The Data Source filter separates your organization’s footprint from the rest of the ecosystem’s — the fastest way to know whether your geography’s coverage depends on your program or extends well beyond it. Enterprise accounts can also view their partner network’s collective activity with Orgs in My Enterprise.
- What about my voters? Apply an uploaded list with the User List filter and every number on the dashboard describes your specific targets: how much the ecosystem has engaged them, through which channels, and how that’s trending. This is the fastest aggregate read on whether your universe is being reached — and it’s free to look. See “Adding Your Uploaded Lists to the Dashboard.”
All of it is blinded: you see that activity happened, by mode, geography, and volume — never which organization did it. Members use this view to inform their own independent decisions about where their programs can have the most impact.
Data notes
- Voter Registration metrics do not update by County or Congressional District — view VR Submissions at the state level.
- DDx does not yet surface data from California or Hawaii.
- If a county or congressional district you expect isn’t showing, the most common reason is that the Exchange doesn’t yet have current-cycle data for that area.
